Thank you for your interest in PAIRE employment opportunities. PAIRE engages in nonprofit medical research and works with sponsors and the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) in administering funds for conducting research to find new and improved ways to combat human disease and help people with disabilities. Life at PAIRE – PAIRE employees work on the beautiful campuses of the VA Palo Health Care System (VAPAHCS) in Palo Alto and Menlo Park. The VAPAHCS grounds on the Palo Alto campus offer a variety of options for the athletically inclined:

• Walking, running, and bike paths
• Fitness Program offering exercise classes
• Workout gym within the medical center

For the shoppers, PAIRE employees may enjoy one of these venues:

• Seasonal Farmers' Market with an array of locally grown vegetables, fruits, baked goods, and local honey products
• VA’s cafeteria where musical entertainment is served up with hot meals
• Coffee Café providing lattes, mochas, hot chocolate, and a variety of baked goods
• VA’s Canteen Retail store which sells everything from sodas to TVs – all tax-free!

The following shopping and strolling opportunities are accessible to both Menlo Park & Palo Alto facilities:

• Stanford’s shopping mall and the Stanford Campus
• Lively downtown Palo Alto is nearby which offers a variety of restaurant venues and retail shopping

Employees at PAIRE are encouraged to partake in all of the above options. Additionally, parking is free and there are shuttles from the VAPAHCS facility to the Menlo Park campus and Stanford University throughout the day. Due to the level of research conducted at our facility by esteemed scientists, PAIRE employees will work closely with renowned physicians, published scientists, and postdoctoral fellows in an academically and intellectually stimulating environment.
