HEALTH CARE BENEFITS
Regular employees working 30 hours or more per week are eligible.
You are eligible to enroll in coverage if you are appointed on a regular appointment at least 30 hours per week. PAIRE contributes toward the cost of your health care benefits. You have medical, dental and vision plans from which to choose coverage. You may cover yourself and your eligible spouse or domestic partner and children.

PAIRE provides $10,000 of Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance for eligible employees.
PAIRE RETIREMENT PLAN
Regular employees are eligible
- PAIRE Retirement Plan-401(k)
All Regular (not Temporary) employees may begin deferring salary to the PAIRE 401(k) Plan from the first day of employment.
- Matching Contribution*
Beginning with the first pay period in the month following your first year of PAIRE employment, any salary deferrals you make to the 401(k) plan will be matched 100% (up to 5% of compensation).
- Retirement Contribution*
In addition to any Matching Contribution for which you may qualify, after one year of employment PAIRE will automatically begin to contribute an amount equal to 5% of your compensation each pay period. *Employees hired directly from Stanford due to grant transfer are immediately eligible for match & pension. Postdocs are eligible to defer only.
TIME OFF
Regular employees are eligible
- Vacation**
If eligible, you will accrue vacation time based on hours paid each pay period. Accrual rate depends on length of service. Vacation hours are a vested benefit.
- Sick Leave
If eligible, you will accrue sick leave based on the hours paid each pay period. Sick leave accrues at 5% of total hours. Sick leave is not a vested benefit.
Note: Postdocs don’t earn leave; must arrange time off with PI.
**Employees with prior Federal, military, VA-non-profit or hired directly from Stanford due to grant transfer may receive credit towards leave group upon verification.
HOLIDAYS
Regular employees working 20 hours or more per week are eligible.
PAIRE follows the Federal holiday schedule, including any day declared a holiday by the President of the United States of America.

PAY , HOURS & LEAVE
Pay periods are semi-monthly from the 1st through the 15th and the 16th through the last day of the month.
Regular paydays generally fall on the 7th and the 22nd of the month.
